SPRERI, not-for-profit institution, is working to provide sustainable, socially acceptable,
environment friendly, economically viable and marketable renewable energy solutions to
the energy demand and problems of India, particularly rural and agro-industrial sectors.
The Institute welcomes donations from the individuals, recognized trusts, corporate
houses etc. to strengthen its activities. |

The Govt. of India, Ministry of Finance (Department of Revenue, Central Board of Direct
Taxes) vide their notification No. 269/2007 dated 5th November 2007 has approved
Sardar Patel Renewable Energy Research Institute (SPRERI), Vallabh Vidyanagar,
Gujarat in the category of Scientific Research Association for the purpose of clause (ii) of
sub-section (1) of section 35 of the Income Tax Act, 1961 (said Act) read with rules 5C
and 5D of the Income Tax Rules, 1962 (said Rules) with effect from 1.4.2001. All
donations to SPRERI presently qualify for Income Tax rebate at 175% level. |
