Announcement for Hari Om Ashram Prerit Young Scientist/Engineer Award for Outstanding Research in the area of Renewable Energy - 2011

Applications are invited from young Indian Scientists/Engineers for Hari Om Ashram Prerit Research Award on Renewable Energy. This award has been instituted to recognize research achievements in the field of renewable energy made during 4 years preceding the year of award. The 2011 award will be made for outstanding research in renewable energy during the period 2008-2011. Publications based on research work reported in the transactions of an important workshop or conference or symposium, thesis, or a design and development output will form the basis for the selection of the outstanding research contribution.Scientists/engineers below the age of 35 years as on 18.10.2011 will be eligible for the award. In case of collective research, only the main contributor will be considered for the award subject to his/her meeting all other requirements.

The award consists of a cash prize of Rs. 25,000/- and a certificate.

In addition to the award, SPRERI will pay to the young scientist/engineer 3T AC or actual fare if it is less than 3T AC train fare for the journey both ways plus a suitable amount to meet expenditure on boarding and lodging for one day at the place of award.

Completed applications, in the prescribed proforma, with all enclosures as listed on page 2 of the Application Form should be sent by Registered Post to the Director, Sardar Patel Renewable Energy Research Institute, Post Box No. 2, Near BVM Engineering College, Vallabh Vidyanagar - 388 120, Gujarat.

The last date for the receipt of the applications is 18.10.2011.
